acronis true image portable for windows 7
I have started the Acronis application. But when I get to the main screen I do not see the Seagate Acronis True Image Home. After it is loaded, the green dot shows, it does not turn into the main menu but then the application closes.
I installed the Seagate Acronis on my main hard drive. I was advised that it will not work if you have a partition that has a running OS on it. This did not put me in a problem and I was able to use the software. I would just like to add the warning so I do not get in a problem.
The option to have archive disk is greyed out now and when I click the Upgrade button, an error pops up saying 'Failed to load updates. Check if power adapter is in place and Acronis True Image Home is properly installed.'.
Finally, I thought I would fix it by making a fresh clean install. And then move on to creating an image backup, the same messages came back along the same line. I then opened an image backup of my system on Acronis True Image Home 2012 and it gave an error message. 'Unknown error while opening registry key.'. I tried to fix it, no luck.
I tried doing a clean install again and then tried creating a backup using 'Create image disk'. Again the same messages came up during the same line again and again. I have spent quite a bit of time on this now and I am not sure what could be the cause of this and not having a clue how to fix it. Any suggestion or tips on what I can do is greatly appreciated.
Not to push products, but I use Acronis True Image Home and it works like a champ. I don't pay for it and I never have to spend a dime on anything. I just need to know how to fix the OS issue that keeps happening to me. I have tried all the updates and I cleaned the registry and other stuff that I found online. But it keeps happening.
